Grace Files - Mr. Unicorn

“Hey, neighbour”, I call out after watching him for a few minutes set up his booth. 

“Hey” is his simple reply while looking over his shoulder to see who’s speaking to him. He expected to brush me off, probably disapproving of what he believes will be our merchandise. As expected, he takes a second look at me. He subtly acknowledges me before returning to his task. 

I am not so subtle and continue watching him set up his tent. Taking in the shape of his back, I pause and lean back against one of our front tables. I was hanging the silk scarves and had to rest my shoulders for a few minutes anyway. I might need to use them later.  

I like what I see. The newspaper article gave the impression of a firm body with thick arms but did not do him justice. To my delight, it’s a warm day today, and he’s wearing a tight black t-shirt. The sleeves of his shirt ending and slightly squeezing into his bulging biceps. My impressions are, not someone who goes to the gym to manufacture muscles but just a naturally thick frame and regular hard work kind of muscle. I want to bite into that muscle. I drift, imagining what we could do, until he senses me and turns around. He stares back in my direction, crosses his sexy arms across his chest and leans against his truck bed. 

“Did you need something, Miss…” he pauses, waiting for me to give my name. 

“Grace, my name is Grace. And your name…?” I ask with a raised brow, even though I already know. 

“Don. Is there anything I can do for you? You looking to get a tat?” he asks with a smirk of his own, implying that he didn’t think I would. 

Jasmin came back with the coffee as I stood up. “Maybe,” is all I say.  

We head back into the back of our tent, as Jasmin leans in towards me to whisper, “he’s hot” and we laugh together as we duck out of sight.
