Shades of Grace: In Grace's world, the good guys get laid and the bad guys get screwed.

Behind the Scenes of Shades of Grace: ARCs, Fade‑to‑Black Chapters, and What’s Coming Next

Shades of Grace has been a deeply personal project for me — these stories are about love, not necessarily about romance. Through Grace and her friends, I write about a woman's journey to loving herself while growing a community. These are books about healing, sensuality, second chances, and the quiet strength that grows in the cracks of broken places.

They are also my attempt at protesting peacefully—with joy, compassion, and acceptance of other perspectives.

This may seem lofty for a bunch of smut novels, but that is my ultimate goal. To encourage women to connect to their bodies and to each other. With as much humour as possible. We face an overload, and the news keeps getting worse. You need a few minutes for yourself, dreaming of ideal worlds, every day. So I hope you'll join me in some fun escapism and get to know Grace a little.

Remember, in Grace's world, the good guys get laid and the bad guys get screwed.

And now, as we get closer to release day, I finally get to share some exciting updates.

Advanced Review Copies Are Coming

I’m thrilled to announce that Advanced Review Copies (ARCs) for Shades of Grace are officially on the way.

ARCs are my favourite part of the publishing process because they let early readers step into the world before anyone else. If you love:

  • discovering stories early
  • supporting authors
  • leaving honest reviews
  • or just being part of the behind‑the‑scenes magic

…then you’ll want to keep an eye out. I’ll be opening ARC sign‑ups soon, and newsletter subscribers will get first access.

Fade‑to‑Black Chapters on Wattpad & Substack

I’ve had a lot of readers ask about the romantic elements in Shades of Grace — specifically how “spicy” things get. The full novel contains intimate scenes that are essential to the emotional arc, but I know not everyone wants or needs explicit content.

So here’s the plan:

  • Wattpad and Substack will feature fade‑to‑black versions of the chapters that contain intimate scenes.
  • These versions keep the emotional beats and character development intact while gently closing the door on the details.
  • They’re perfect for readers who prefer a softer, closed‑door reading experience.

This way, everyone can enjoy the story in the way that feels right for them.

Joining Kobo Plus: Unabridged eBooks Coming Soon

Another big step: I’m joining Kobo Plus for the release of the unabridged eBook edition of Shades of Grace.

Why Kobo Plus?

  • It’s reader‑friendly
  • It supports indie authors beautifully
  • And it allows me to offer the full, unedited, unabridged version of the book exactly as I wrote it

If you’re a Kobo Plus subscriber, you’ll be able to read the complete novel at no extra cost. If you’re not, you can still purchase the eBook directly through Kobo’s store.

Final Thoughts

This phase — the sharing, the anticipation, the conversations with readers — is an exciting part of being an author. Thank you for being here, for reading, for supporting, and for caring about these characters as much as I do.

More updates are coming soon, including ARC sign‑ups, release dates, and a few surprises I’ve been keeping quiet.

If you want to make sure you don’t miss anything, join my newsletter — it’s where all the early news drops first.
